Description:
Each response should be approximately five pages (double spaced) and accomplish two, separate tasks: 1) it should summarize the readings for the week; and 2) it should go beyond summary and use the readings as a jumping off point for critical thought. For example, it might pose questions raised but not answered by the reading, connect the reading to other material covered in the course, identify common themes across the readings for the week, or otherwise offer thoughts and points for discussion. The Discussion Questions may offer clues for accomplishing this second task.
