The relationship between the meal timing and BMI of college students

ORDER NOW

Introduction
The most recent data shows that obesity rates are now above 20 percent in all states (Obesity Rates & Trends, 2013-2016). Obesity rates increased over time and were higher among males, African Americans, and students of lower socioeconomic (Nelson TF, Gortmaker SL, Subramanian SV, Cheung L, and Wechsler H, Disparities, 2007). Comorbidities that cause obesity include coronary heart disease, hypertension and stroke, certain types of cancer, non-insulin-dependent diabetes, mellitus, gallbladder disease, dyslipidaemia, osteoarthritis and gout, and pulmonary diseases, including sleep apnoea(WHO Consultation on Obesity, 2001). Now obese individuals face multiple forms of prejudice and discrimination because of their weight. Statistics says that the prevalence of weight discrimination has increased by 66 % over the past decade (Puhl, Rebecca M.; and Heuer, Chelsea A.,2009). The purpose of my study is to help college students to prevent themselves from gaining weight.
