In contemporary society, accountants are required to have a complete understanding of computer skills, and must also stay abreast of new software. It seems that new technology replaces existing technology at a rapid rate. Accountants are no longer required to perform solely mathematical calculations; they are now required to interpret calculations that are performed by all of the software that has become available.
