What is your Philosophy of Education

Description:
Essay Prompt:

"What is your philosophy of education (perennialism, essentialism, progressivism, existentialism, and/or social reconstructivism)? Cite the relevant philosophers and ideas discussed in your text and/or examined in class. How will your philosophical perspective impact your teaching style? How do your personal values, political proclivities, class consciouness, racial perspectives, and historical insights influence your outlook? Why is it important to have a philosophy of education?"

Attached you will find a sheet of key points for the education styles listed in the first sentence of the essay prompt. No works cited necessary but if you decide to use a resource site it either MLA or APA (pick your favorite), should have and "engaging" sound-- "a contrast in sentence length and cadence. It doesn"t plod; it has lilt. Thus, "write for the ear".", should reference some of the authors (ones listed in attached file) in essay, double spaced, one inch margins, new times roman, approx 5 pages (essay didn"t have strict word/page count-- "however long it takes to answer the question thoroughly" so don"t worry too much on getting exactly 1125 words) .

Since it asks my person values, perspective, etc. Im just your typical liberal white male from the NW. Also I would like to see a blend or the education styles blended (take bits and peices from multiple to showcase knowledge on more than just one). Also, the instructor said not to be afraid of using the word "I" in the essay. Any other questions let me know!
