Description: Discuss how judgement and decision making regarding purchases has changed as a result of things such as globalization and social media. As a result of these changes, how advertising has changed and adapted in ways such as subliminal and targeted advertising (product placements). The main focus should be the laws surrounding advertising and how they have also changed – either proactively or retroactively (specifically, smoking and cigarettes, as well as other banned or controlled substances).

Much of the paper is still up for discussion and I would welcome your creativity and suggestions. However, bear in mind that it is for a LAW class and thus, should incorporate aspects of the law wherever appropriate. Also may want to consider political advertising (especially in the recent U.S. election).
